Bhupendra has considerable experience in the 'strategic Third Sector', having served in senior positions in Central/Local Government and the 'not for profit' sector in Birmingham, London and the North West of England. An individual with a strong sense of social responsibility, linked to a strong commitment to public sector values.
A highly experienced Community Development Practitioner with over 20 years' experience as a specialist focussing particularly on community based regeneration and social inclusion. He has considerable experience that ranges from senior level management to project delivery on the ground.
He has obtained a record of sound leadership and strategic thinking and gained extensive expertise in delivering positive benefits within organisations pursuing excellence. Having operated at a Board level for a number of years, Bhupendra has amassed substantial experience of managing organisational politics and key stakeholder relationships. An experienced 'top table' player and adviser interacting with Board Members, Politicians, Regulatory Bodies and Government Agencies.
Currently he is a Board Member of the Cabinet Office Advisory Board (for Civil Society). Furthermore, he sits on the Boards of BBC World Service Trust, Manchester Metropolitan University, Harvest Housing Group and Cedar Management Services.
