‘Rupee the Rickshaw’ goes global
Kamla Foundation is delighted to introduce our mascot, ‘Rupee’, which we hope will help raise the profile of our work in India.
Mascots are a character, usually native to the area in which an organisation operates and is usually chosen to represent the cultural heritage of the place. We could think of no other object to symbolise the country of where we work than the traditional rickshaw, which is the lifeblood of the Indian transport system.
We are asking our supporters to inform us of their next trip abroad and to take rupee with them. We request that you take as many interesting photos as possible with Rupee in landmark destinations. (it will be interesting to see how far Rupee travels). As trips are completed we will upload the pictures on our website and keep supporters updated on Rupee’s latest adventures.
